This is indeed a rip off both by the seller and by Amazon where descriptions are given and the pertinent facts are left out. I wonder if the sale of this cartridge is even allowed by HP.
You get what you pay for and in this case there was no HP box (in fact it appeared to be an old and small cartridge that comes with new printers). This product is essentially a rip off as it does not compare to the other ink cartridges of the same HP number sold for more money.
Amazon needs to be consistent and inform the consumer that this is a small ink cartridge compared to those for more money. There was no expiration date but there was a size of only 7 ml listed on the odd shrink wrap packaging.
The worst problem though is that I have just printed about twenty 4x6 inch prints and am already receiving low ink warnings from the printer. If you are going to take the time and trouble to order and change cartridges, it should be with a real size cartridge that will not be empty after 25 small prints.
Do not waste your time or money on this cartridge.
The only thing is, this isn't the past.Today printers are as common in households as a standard definition television set, so why is it the price of ink hasn't dropped. Take it or leave it, what other choice do you have.Well, we all know how that ended up. It seems that everywhere us consumers turn we're being overcharged for something and ink cartridges are no exception. This situation sort of echoes memories of the way the music industry was once run. You'll be surprised what you come up with and the money you'll save. One good one I found (and use quite a bit) is 123inkjets. Well, in my cynical opinion the manufacturer has the consumer of something of a "take-it-or-leave-it" position. Hey.you want the song you heard on MT, you gotta buy the whole overpriced album.
A hard lessoned learned for retailers who refuse to conform to the new, but still not a lesson completely understood by the good people selling us our ink cartridges. There is absolutely no excuse for the inflated prices of these tiny plastic containers, filled with approximately 15ML of ink, other than to overcharge the consumer and make a huge (and unfair) profit. With the help of my closest companion, the Internet, I have discovered many websites that offer generic brands of ink cartridges (that print just as good I might add) at a almost half the price as these so called "premium brands". In the past color printers were something of a luxury, I can remember when a decent one sold for roughly $500.00 and consumers didn't mind paying $70.00 on additional ink cartridges. People today download music for either free or for less than a dollar a song as the ways of old have died out, driving local music stores out of malls across the country. If you want to print documents you need ink, you need ink you have to get a cartridge that is compatible with your printer, and to do that you have to buy what is offered from the manufacturer. CDs full of filler with a couple decent songs selling for over $20.00 at the local mall. I urge anyone who is as outraged as I am at the prices of these ink cartridges to do a quick search on any Internet search engine for "cheap ink cartridges". They have a wide selection of ink cartridges with a multitude of different brands.
I ordered this because i took my empty cartridge to be filled and it was damaged and I couldn't use it in my printer. It came quickly and works just fine. I will order again
This cartridge fits well and does what it should. I wish it didn't run out so fast though, it's really a money-sink, and I'm not even a heavy printer. Ah well, it's what works, so I'd still recommend it.
The seller sent this item promptly and it arrived in good condition. I have no problems with this seller and this product and would highly recommend both again to anyone who'd ask.
